The Rise of China and its Implications to East Asia
International Workshop
Waseda Institute of Contemporary Chinese Studies
Waseda University, Japan
Venue: Building No.9, Room 917, Waseda Campus, Waseda University
Dec 15 2012
Objective
There have been plenty studies focusing on the rise of China and its implications to East Asia in recent years. Whereas there are academic articles studying the topic in a case-by-case manner, the comprehensive picture of East Asia’s responses to the rising China and theoretical implications of this new trend is under-explored. The exact correlation between economic interdependence and the degree of threat perception and the probability of conflict with China is also subjecting to further analyses. This workshop attempts to tackle these issues by inviting established China studies specialists and IR scholars to contribute their pieces.
